Sealife Benalmadena

An enthralling life beneath the ocean waves is revealed on a visit to Benalmádena’s massive Sea Life aquarium in the marina, from fearsome predators and weird looking creatures down to pretty, prehistoric seahorses and dazzlingly coloured tropical fish.

 

Sea Life has over 2,000 sea creatures to meet face to face including giant turtles, rays, octopuses, eels and sea otters, with feeding demonstrations every day and shark ‘mealtime’ demonstrations on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

The Teleférico Cable Car

Distance from Resort: 1.7 KM ( 5 Min. Drive)

 

The summit of the Calamorro mountain offers one of the best panoramic views of the Costa del Sol – on a clear day it’s possible to see around 150km in either direction, from Gibraltar in the west to the Sierra Nevada mountain range in Granada province to the east! And experiencing the amazing view is no longer the sole domain of shepherds and climbers – you can see it for yourself with an exhilarating ride to the top on the Teleférico cable car out of Arroyo de la Miel, near Benalmadena.

Selwo Marina, Benalmadena

Distance from Resort: 350 Meters (5 Min. Walk)

 

Selwo Marina in Benalmadena is a classic holiday attraction. Andalucia’s one and only dolphinarium is the perfect way to spend a day out with the family while enjoying your holiday at Benal Beach – and it’s almost right next door!

Parque De La Paloma

Distance from Resort: 290 Meters (5 Min. Walk)

 

El Parque de la Paloma or “Dove Park” is one of the most beautiful on the Costa del Sol. Located in the centre of Benalmádena, this park has become an authentic green space in the city; an ideal natural enclave for enjoying contact with nature, discovering animals roaming free and taking a walk around its immense green areas.

 

Parque de la Paloma is situated right in the heart of Benalmádena Costa, Arroyo de la Miel. It covers some 200,000 meter squares and is less than 300m from the coast. It is a beautiful park with a lake that is home to ducks, terrapins, swans and geese. There are also chickens, peacocks & rabbits running wild in the park. A enclosure with emus, a deer enclosure, a cactus garden, and also several snack bars.

Benalmadena Puerto Marina

Distance from Resort: 1.9 KM (5 Min. Drive) 

 

Benalmadena Puerto Marina is several times winner of the ‘Best Marina in the World’ award. With 1,100 moorings for boats of all nationalities and up to 6 meters long, Benalmadena Port “Puerto Marina” is one of the Costa del Sol’s busiest centres by day and night.

 

It is perfect spot for a leisurely stroll admiring the boats, with a visit to the ice-cream parlour or a spot of lunch maybe. Come evening, it is buzzing with activity and is open till late. From the port, you can participate in water sports such as kayaking and scuba diving, take a dolphin spotting trip or hire your own boat.
